"Postcards for Politicians" Workshop

  • Old Stone House 336 3rd Street Brooklyn, NY, 11215 United States (map)

Join WHARR and other local activist groups for an afternoon of impactful arts and crafts in the Trump era!

This event is in conjunction with Old Stone House's current exhibition: "Being Well: In Search of Utopia?" about artists' visions for health and wellness. Artist Carolyn Monastra is inviting people of all ages to create handmade photo-collage postcards to send to their legislators addressing their concerns with health, climate change, and related issues. The postcards will be temporarily hung on a tree outside the venue, as a meaningful public art installation also calling attention to the issue.

WHARR will be tabling at the event, and we'll have some women's-health-specific ideas for postcards—plus info and actions for continued resistance and advocacy after the workshop is over. Please join us! Families/kids welcome!
