WHARR Supports Sister Song: Reading & Discussion

Join us for a reading of selected scenes from a play by WHARR co-chair Donna Newton (and starring WHARR co-chair Jessie Losch) about the impact of unwanted pregnancy on the lives of three women in the early 20th century, plus a panel Q&A about reproductive rights history and activism, featuring Rabbi Dennis Ross of Concerned Clergy for Choice. This event will be a fundraiser for Sister Song, a Southern-based repro justice organization.

Vision Project Workshop

Save the date! WHARR is taking part in this workshop of women-identified people across the borough as part of The Vision Project. This initiative hopes to bring more voices to the discussion of how the Brooklyn Democratic Party can better represent all of us, with the goal of producing a clear vision statement for the local party.
